A. Alex Nowamooz focuses his practice on all areas of intellectual property litigation, including patent and trademark litigation. Alex is experienced in patent infringement suits involving a broad range of technological areas. He represents clients as a member of the plaintiff or the defense team in patent infringement lawsuits involving oil and gas, medical, pharmaceutical, electrical, and computer hardware/software technologies, and is experienced in analyzing hardware and software aspects of network-based computer systems for infringement purposes. Alex is also experienced in trademark infringement suits, trademark oppositions before the trademark trial and appeal board, and trade secret misappropriation suits involving networked computer systems and cloud technologies.

Alex's practice also includes preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications domestically and abroad, infringement/non-infringement opinions, and due diligence analysis. Alex drafts and prosecutes patent applications for a broad range of devices, such as mechanical inventions designed for the oil and gas industry, and electrical circuitry inventions utilized in computer or solar systems. Alex also drafts and prosecutes a variety of computerized business method patent applications, such as applications directed to computerized business marketing and/or reporting practices, web-based eCommerce practices, computer database management techniques, and computerized statistical benchmarking/reporting methodologies.
