Adam has successfully litigated cases in state and federal courts in numerous jurisdictions at both trial and appellate levels. His private practice focused on commercial disputes, employment litigation, and real estate litigation, and on service to his peers and community through committee service and pro bono work. Among his notable successes have been litigation of Episcopal Church property disputes before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, obtaining a substantial jury award in federal court in favor of a counterclaimant on a malicious abuse of process claim, and a jury verdict in favor of the defendant in the highly publicized UNM Pit litigation.

Adam is now a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice Civil Division's National Courts Section where he defends the United States in actions asserting breach of contract.
