Adrian Wager Zito

Adrian Wager-Zito's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including antitrust, securities fraud, and contract actions, as well as class action and multidistrict litigation (MDL) mass tort proceedings alleging personal injuries. She has litigated cases in federal and state courts throughout the U.S., representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Adrian also represents companies and individuals involved in civil and criminal enforcement proceedings conducted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other governmental agencies.

Adrian recently served as trial counsel for Washington Group International, a division of URS Corporation, in federal court in New Orleans in mass tort/class action litigation brought by residents alleging damages resulting from Hurricane Katrina. This case, which involved claims of billions of dollars in damages, was tried in the summer of 2012. A complete defense verdict was rendered by the Court in April 2013. Also on behalf of the Washington Group, Adrian was involved in the successful resolution of purchase price adjustment claims arising out of WGI's acquisition of Raytheon Engineers and Constructors. In addition, Adrian was involved as trial counsel in Anchor Savings Bank v. United States, a case in which the United States Court of Federal Claims awarded Washington Mutual a $356 million judgment in a breach of contract case arising out of the 1980s savings and loan crisis. This case was affirmed on appeal by the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and remanded for additional damages.

Adrian is the Administrative Partner of the Washington Office. She is also actively involved in the office's recruiting efforts and its mentoring committee.
