Alan Raynor, a partner in the firm's Dallas office, has been practicing exclusively in the area of public finance for over thirty years. Alan currently serves as the firm's Managing Partner. Alan holds a BA degree from Rice University with a JD with honors from The University of Texas School of Law. Alan joined the firm as a partner in 1986, having practiced in the public finance area for over thirteen years in Houston, Texas. Alan's background covers most areas of public finance, including traditional financing, special district financing, single family and multi-family housing financing, environmental improvement bonds, and industrial development bonds. Alan's professional affiliations include membership in the Texas State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers ("NABL") and the American College of Bond Counsel. He is a frequent panelist at NABL seminars and has served on the steering committee for NABL’s Bond Attorney’s Workshop. Alan has also served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies, the Executive Board of the Rice University Alumni Association, as Co-Chairman of the Sesquicentennial Salute benefiting Ronald McDonald House and as Co-Chairman of the Flora Awards.
