Mr. Epstein serves a leadership role as the Chair of Venable’s West Coast Business Transactions Group, which includes corporate, tax and wealth planning, real estate and bankruptcy. He counsels public and private companies on various corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, financing transactions, licensing matters, human resource issues and joint ventures. Mr. Epstein's clients include leading production companies, technology companies, digital media businesses, branded merchandising and licensing businesses and internet companies. He also represents high-level executives in public and private companies in many different industries.

Mr. Epstein also provides tax and wealth planning services to high net worth individuals, including many prominent entertainers and professional athletes. He has significant experience in domestic and international tax planning and compliance matters, including advising clients on both "inbound" planning and "outbound" transactions and activities all over the world. His clients have come to rely not only on his legal counsel, but his strategic business advice as well.

Activities
Mr. Epstein was appointed by the Canadian Minister of Finance to serve on the Canadian Film Industry Advisory Committee from 1999-2003 and in the process negotiated various rules and regulations on behalf of the entertainment industry. He has previously held Committee positions in the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. Mr. Epstein is a frequent speaker on matters pertaining to the entertainment and media industries. He is a Board member of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple and has also served as a classroom mentor to inner-city students through NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship). He is an avid cyclist and aspiring golfer.
