Alex Park is a Corporate & Securities partner in Womble Carlyle’s District of Columbia office.

His practice focuses on advising and guiding clients on their critical business and capital market transactions and general corporate and securities matters, with a particular emphasis on real estate, technology, government contracts and start-up enterprises. Specifically, Alex focuses on:

private investment fund formation and transactions, private and public capital markets,
public and private mergers & acquisitions,
venture capital and start-ups,
joint venture, and
general corporate and securities.

Alex’s broad and considerable legal and executive business skills and experience allow him to guide clients—either companies or investors—through the entire lifecycle of businesses, as they traverse from a start-up, private funding, initial growth and operations, accessing public capital markets, compliance and governance matters, organic or accretive growth, and exit or similar transactions.

Alex’s business and legal experiences include the representation of some of the largest investment banks, private equity and investment funds, and publicly-traded companies. Alex’s transactional and client advisory experience cover a wide spectrum in terms of complexity, types of transactions, and industries. In connection with larger and more complex transactions, Alex also managed and oversaw a team of lawyers with specialty areas of law to address various legal and related matters, such as shareholder and other litigation, regulatory, tax, executive compensation, employee benefits, finance, corporate communications, real estate, and environmental.

Alex was a partner at Hogan Lovells LLP, where he spent close to 14 years as a corporate and securities transactional attorney specializing in capital markets, mergers and acquisition transactions, and private and public investments. In 2010, he co-founded C4EIS LLC, a technology company that designs and develops Web and mobile interactive multimedia and distributed learning courseware for Department of Defense, civilian government and commercial customers. As President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer, Alex led C4EIS through its initial formation, numerous acquisitions, corporate governance, strategic implementation, business development, commercial contracts and licensing agreements, and various compliance matters.
