ALEXI M. PORETZ is counsel in Sidley’s New York office. He has broad experience representing U.S. and non-U.S. clients in connection with an array of complex financing, merger and acquisition and other types of transactions which often involve a cross-border component. In particular, in the insurance arena Mr. Poretz regularly advises investment banks, investment funds and other institutions in connection with the life settlement market and more generally with regard to transactions involving the transfer of longevity and/or mortality exposure to groups of individuals.

Mr. Poretz attended The George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of The George Washington Law Review.
