Allison E. Turnbull

Allison E. Turnbull is a partner in Holland & Knight's Orlando office and chair of the Orlando Land Use Team. Ms. Turnbull's practice focuses on real estate development with an emphasis on the procurement and retention of land use entitlements. She has experience throughout Central Florida working with local governments to address the needs of her clients related to zoning, comprehensive plans, concurrency, infrastructure finance and development, developments of regional impact (DRI's), procurement issues, due diligence and property rights.

Through her extensive experience in legislative and governmental affairs on both the local and state level, Ms. Turnbull has developed trusted relationships with elected officials and government staff and administrators, allowing her to work collaboratively to achieve clients’ objectives. She is dedicated to providing a competitive edge for her clients through her lobbying experience, extensive professional relationships and legal proficiency.

Ms. Turnbull has served as lead counsel for a variety of development projects throughout Florida, including urban high-rise developments, hotel and resort properties, industrial logistics centers, office projects, single family home and multifamily apartment developments, master planned communities and retail power centers.

A variety of U.S. and international institutional clients in a range of different industries, including aviation, construction and owners/operators/developers of industrial real estate, depend on Ms. Turnbull for guidance. Beginning with site selection, contract negotiation, due diligence and the land acquisition phase, followed by the procurement of land use approvals and entitlements, Ms. Turnbull comprehensively assists clients through the entire development process. In addition, Ms. Turnbull currently serves as the Women's Initiative coordinator for the Orlando office.
