Alvin Fletcher Benton Jr

Alvin Benton practices in the area of bankruptcy litigation, commercial and timeshare foreclosures and general business litigation. Mr. Benton represents creditors in a variety of commercial settings, including lenders, creditors and lessors in sophisticated Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 13 cases and Chapter 7 liquidations. In addition, he represents creditors in receiverships, debt restructuring, commercial, residential and timeshare foreclosures and fraudulent conveyance claims.

During law school, Mr. Benton served as a judicial intern for two judges of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court for Orange County, Fla. He also was a member of the Florida A&M University Law Review and the Florida A&M University Moot Court Board.

Mr. Benton previously has served as chair of the Diversity Committee in the Orlando office and is currently chair of the Dallas Office's Diversity Committee. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Florida A&M University College of Law.
