Alvin T. Levitt

Alvin Levitt’s tax practice focuses on business, real estate and nonprofit entities. He has authored numerous articles for professional tax publications and has lectured at a number of tax institutes.

Mr. Levitt has served as a Director of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council, as a member of the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California Taxation, and as the Chairman of the IRS/Western Region Bar Association. Mr. Levitt also has served as a Visiting Instructor in Tax Law at the University of California School of Law (Boalt Hall). He also serves as the President and Director of the Jim Joseph Foundation, Contemporary Jewish Museum, Yerba Buena Alliance, Yerba Buena Arts and Events, Birthright Israel Foundation and Birthright NEXT.

Prior to joining Manatt, Mr. Levitt was a founding partner of a San Francisco-based law firm.
