Alycen A. Moss

Alycen Moss concentrates her practice in civil litigation, and she is the hiring partner for Cozen O’Connor’s Atlanta office. Alycen has extensive experience litigating civil and commercial matters pertaining to mass and complex torts, property and casualty insurance, products liability, and life, health and disability insurance.

Alycen represents trucking companies, brokers and logistics companies in disputes involving commercial transportation accidents, federal & state safety regulations, commercial insurance coverage disputes, and other disputes involving trucking companies. She is experienced in all aspects of transportation law and has represented transportation clients in litigation scenarios involving truck accident litigation, employment issues (drivers and other personnel), and contract disputes. She also regularly advises companies on indemnification issues. Alycen has a unique ability to advise trucking companies on proactively assessing and addressing risk both internally and externally.

In the insurance arena, Alycen has litigated numerous coverage issues, including bad faith, punitive damages and deceptive trade practices claims. She also defends insurance companies in ERISA claims. Alycen also regularly advises life, health, disability, commercial general liability, property, and casualty carriers on various coverage issues, and often defends the carriers in lawsuits brought by the insureds.

Alycen is extremely experienced in handling matters involving high net worth insureds.

Alycen is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, American Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, and Defense Research Institute. Alycen also serves as co-chair of the Health, Life and Disability Sub-Committee of the ABA's Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the Section of Litigation.

Alycen was named a 2010, 2011 and 2012 Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyers. She was named a Super Lawyer in 2013.

Alycen also routinely participates in providing pro bono services through cooperation with the Georgia Legal Services Program.

Alycen earned her law degree from Georgia State University, where she was a member of the Georgia State University Law Review and a finalist in the Moot Court Oral Argument Competition. Alycen's undergraduate degree is from Vanderbilt University.
