Amanda Holcomb Yenerall joined the Gainesville, Georgia law firm of Stewart Melvin & Frost in 2007, and she became a partner in 2013. Ms. Yenerall's law practice has almost exclusively focused on workers' compensation defense, handling countless workers' compensation cases and appeals on behalf of employers, insureds and self-insureds. Ms. Yenerall is a certified court mediator and mediates workers' compensation cases as well as civil litigation cases. In 2013, she was selected to serve on the State Board of Workers' Compensation Chairman's Advisory Council. She also is a frequent speaker on workers’ compensation topics.
Ms. Yenerall is an honors graduate from the University of North Georgia, where she earned a bachelor's degree in political science with a pre-law concentration. While earning her undergraduate degree, Ms. Yenerall interned at a prominent law firm in Gainesville, Georgia, where she acquired a strong background in analyzing medical aspects of a case. Ms. Yenerall then obtained a juris doctor from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta in 2007. During law school, Ms. Yenerall served as co-president of the JMLS Chapter of Georgia Association of Women Lawyers in 2005 and also served as a Student Bar Association representative throughout her law school career.
In addition to professional memberships in the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, Ms. Yenerall is active in the Gainesville-Hall County community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County and was selected for the Leadership Hall County class of 2008-09. Ms. Yenerall led Stewart Melvin & Frost's participation in the 1st Annual Georgia Legal Food Frenzy, an event involving attorneys from around the state in 2012. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Dawson County as well.
Ms. Yenerall is married to David L. Yenerall, Jr., a professor at Georgia Perimeter College. She has three children and enjoys hiking and the great outdoors.
