Ana B. Acevedo

Ana Acevedo is a counsel in O’Melveny's Los Angeles office and a member of the Restructuring and Corporate Finance Practices. Ana represents debtors and creditors in bankruptcies and out-of-court restructurings. She also represents banks, investment funds and public and private companies in a variety of transactions, including financings, securities matters, and other general corporate matters. In addition, Ana counsels clients on legal, regulatory and compliance issues involving mortgage servicing and foreclosure practices.
Illustrative Professional Experience

Represented one of the country’s leading home builders in several related bankruptcy cases.
Represented a secured creditor in bankruptcy of producer and distributor of television motion pictures and mini-series, recovering intellectual property collateral though settlement.
Represented a private equity company as stalking horse bidder in its efforts to acquire a restaurant chain.
Represented the agent bank for senior secured lenders in the bankruptcy and sale of a large timber company, obtaining a full cash payment of principal and interest.
Represented a mid-size retailer in its chapter 11 filing, including securing US$125 million of debtor-in-possession financing.
Served as debtor’s counsel for one of the largest subprime lenders to have filed Chapter 11, which included handling the 363 sales of multiple business divisions.
Represented a major distributor of books to retailers in its Chapter 11 case, including the 363 sales of its two major business divisions.
Represented a boxing promoter in the bankruptcy of a boxer under contract.
Represented an energy and infrastructure fund in its financing of the construction of a hydro-electric facility in Puebla, Mexico.
Represented a large national bank in a US$1 billion secured credit facility for an international industrial valve and pump manufacturer.
