Andrew N. Fiske

Andrew N. Fiske is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Chicago office and concentrates his practice in the areas of government representation and land use, providing counsel to municipalities on the broad range of issues that local governments routinely face. Mr. Fiske's representation includes zoning, land use, regulatory matters, personnel issues, contract drafting and interpretation, application of the Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act, public bidding and purchasing, and the enforcement of municipal ordinances and codes.

Mr. Fiske serves as the municipal attorney for meetings of numerous public bodies, including boards of trustees, planning and historic preservation commissions and zoning boards. He also is experienced in litigating on behalf of municipal clients in both state and federal courts, with particular experience prosecuting ordinance and misdemeanor violations in administrative adjudication systems and before Illinois circuit courts. Mr. Fiske has prepared and argued appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the First Appellate District of Illinois.

Mr. Fiske has extensive experience in commercial litigation, representing publicly-traded companies, closely-held corporations, and private individuals before state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative bodies and arbitration panels.

Mr. Fiske has substantial additional experience in condominium law, energy performance contracting and employment law.
