Andy Sumner is an associate in the firm's Securities Litigation Group. His practice focuses primarily on securities fraud actions, shareholder derivative suits, director, officer and professional liability matters, corporate investigations and other complex commercial litigation.

Andy received his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2011 from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he graduated with a concentration in business transactions and was elected to membership in The Order of the Coif. While in law school, Andy served as senior commentary editor for Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and interned with The Honorable Richard L. Voorhees of the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Andy completed his undergraduate studies in 2008 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in political science and minoring in history and African American studies.
