Anthony Jacono's practice focuses on intellectual property and patent litigation, and he counsels clients on a broad range of intellectual property issues. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving various technologies, including computer software, integrated circuits, bar code scanners, wireless communications, polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate manufacturing, automotive mirrors, and snowplow blades. His technical background is in the field of chemical engineering. In addition to patent litigation, Anthony has litigated cases involving breach of contract, tortious interference, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, and trademark infringement. He has litigated in both state and federal courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Anthony's recent matters include representing a financial services institution in a trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, and tortious interference dispute, and defending a specialty chemicals manufacturer in a patent infringement case that resulted in a summary judgment ruling of invalidity for failure to disclose the best mode, which was affirmed by the Federal Circuit.
Anthony is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
