Arthur's practice focuses on commercial finance transactions, especially asset-based loans, but includes the documentation and negotiation of all types of secured and unsecured loans, lines of credit and working capital loans, mezzanine loans with co-investments and warrants, term B loans, acquisition loans, debtor-in-possession, enterprise value and cash flow loans, syndications and participations.

He also documents loans secured by real estate and real estate ownership interests, and represents lenders in workouts and restructurings. His clients typically include major financial institutions, funds and non-bank lenders.

Specialty collateral situations in Arthur's deals include loans secured by tenant-in-common interests, government contracts, farm equipment, railroad engines and rolling stock, airplanes, ships, leased ski areas, printing equipment, oil and gas interests, pipeline rights, perishable goods, intellectual property, and pharmaceuticals.

Arthur served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971.
