Ary Chang is a senior counsel and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP where her practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property litigation. The focus of her practice is on patent disputes, but Ms. Chang has litigated patent, copyright, trademark, and trade dress matters as well as trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition.

Ms. Chang is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. She has experience handling litigation in U.S. District Courts as well as before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Ms. Chang has successfully represented clients on a number of intellectual property disputes, including:

patent infringement cases involving semiconductor, telecommunication, electromechanical, and mechanical products, medical devices, and in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and microbiology areas; and
defending an international retailer in various trademark, copyright, and trade dress infringement disputes.

Before joining Foley, Ms. Chang was an attorney at an intellectual property law firm, where her practice included intellectual property litigation and technology licensing. Prior to beginning her legal career, Ms. Chang worked as an engineer at General Electric Co., where she designed and evaluated air pollution control systems for various combustion systems and conducted studies to assess pollution control technologies. Ms. Chang is a certified Engineer-in-Training in the State of California and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
