Barry Jacobs represents financial institutions, private equity funds, and public and private companies on a wide variety of commercial financing transactions, including leveraged cash flow and asset-based lending, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations. He has significant experience with cross-border transactions involving companies with operations in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, and Singapore, as well as with counseling clients through financial distress involving out-of-court workouts, debt restructurings, and debtor-in-possession financing.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Barry worked on a variety of complex financing transactions, including the leveraged buyout of a major communications company by a consortium of private equity sponsors and debtor-in-possession financing and exit financing for one of the nation's largest REITs.
