Basheer Ghorayeb is a trial lawyer who concentrates his practice on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation. He is familiar with all segments of the oil and gas industry, having represented exploration and production (E&P) companies, oil field services companies, midstream companies, and refineries, as well as private equity funds and financial institutions that have invested in the energy sector. He has experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) disputes, royalty class actions, lease disputes, as well as matters alleging environmental impacts from hydraulic fracturing of horizontal wells.
Leveraging his experience as a computer programmer, Basheer also has extensive experience conducting investigations or litigating commercial or products liability cases involving technology or software. Basheer has particularly deep experience in defending products liability cases, having represented manufacturers as trial counsel in more than 50 product liability cases involving personal injury, breach of warranty, and wrongful death claims. He has also served as regional, appellate, and national coordinating counsel for automotive manufacturers and railroad companies and has experience representing clients in MDL and class action cases.
