Benjamin Kent Jordan

Kent Jordan

is an associate in the Atlanta office of King & Spalding and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Mr. Jordan’s practice focuses on patent and trademark litigation. In addition, he has experience with patent prosecution as well as copyright and trademark enforcement.

Mr. Jordan received his J.D. in 2013 from Southern Methodist University, cum laude. While there, he served as an Associate Editor of the SMU Science and Technology Law Review, and published an article regarding litigation trends in the online gaming industry. Mr. Jordan also worked as an extern for the Honorable Amos Mazzant in the Eastern District of Texas.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1991. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Jordan spent 20 years in the telecommunications industry as a software engineer and trainer for Nortel and Ericsson, where his work focused primarily on wireless technologies. His technological expertise includes Analog, TDMA, and CDMA platforms as well as IP networking and media gateways. During his tenure in the industry, Mr. Jordan’s experiences took him around the world, from Canada to France and Israel, where he worked with clients to help them meet their ever-evolving technological needs. This work including serving on a team that developed one of Europe’s first mobile 3G networks.
