Ben Ross advises companies, private equity and venture capital firms, and high net-worth individuals in mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures, restructuring transactions and general commercial agreements. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ben practiced with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York City and clerked for Chancellor William B. Chandler III, of the Delaware Court of Chancery. Ben received his law degree from New York University School of Law in 2004, where he received the Vanderbilt Medal and the President’s Service Award for achievements and public service. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Princeton University, graduating magna cum laude.

Ben has published on a variety of topics, including joint ventures, fiduciary duties, limited liability companies, and securities law. In 2013 and 2014, he was named one of Southern California’s “Rising Stars” by Los Angeles Magazine and Southern California Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Edition. He is currently a member of the Corporations Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California.

Ben serves on the boards of the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation and the Zimmer Children’s Museum.
