Bita A. Rahebi

Clients turn to Ms. Rahebi for her proactive approach and efficient management of the most complex intellectual property litigation matters, with a particular focus on patent litigation. She has litigated a wide variety of high-technology matters since joining the firm in 2000, and manages technology cases for global clients in U.S. District Courts and before the International Trade Commission. Her patent matters have concerned graphical user interfaces, interactive media design, liquid crystal displays, product design tools, chip fuse technology, public key encryption, non-surgical medical devices, digital televisions, automated call processing, and virtual camera control technology. Ms. Rahebi also has been involved in trade secrets litigation involving programmable logic devices in California state court.

Representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all phases of litigation, Ms. Rahebi has led clients through pre-filing investigations, Markman hearings, summary judgments, trials, and appeal with successful results. In addition to her litigation practice, she advises clients on strategic patent licensing issues.

Ms. Rahebi was named by Thomson Reuters in its 2013 Southern California Special Section of the "Top Women Attorneys in Southern California." She is also recommended as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers 2006–2008, 2010, and 2013. She is an officer of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association.

Earning her B.A., magna cum laude, in 1996, from the University of California, Berkeley, Ms. Rahebi was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her J.D. in 2000, from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was an editor of the UCLA Law Review.

Ms. Rahebi is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in California, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
