Brett D. White

Brett D. White is Of Counsel in the Cooley Business department. He joined the Firm in 1995 and is resident in the Palo Alto office.

Mr. White practices primarily in the areas of public company representation, including counseling publicly traded companies and their Boards of Directors in 1934 Act compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, corporate governance, Nasdaq listing compliance and corporate finance (including public offerings, private placements and PIPEs transactions), as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. White was an associate in the San Francisco office of the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom from 1991 to 1995.

Mr. White received his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 1991 and his B.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1988 where he graduated with high distinction and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He was also the recipient of the Percy Lionel Davis Award (Mathematical Scholarship) at U.C. Berkeley in 1988.

Mr. White is a member of the State Bar of California.

He is also a member of the firm's Pro Bono Committee.
