Brian D. Mogck

Brian Mogck is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Practice.

Mr. Mogck’s practice focuses on white collar defense and investigations and appellate litigation. He has represented both individual and corporate clients in internal investigations, criminal investigations by local, state, and federal prosecutors, and regulatory enforcement proceedings. Mr. Mogck also has a wide range of civil litigation experience, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate briefing involving such issues as the admissibility of expert testimony under Daubert and public access to records of criminal proceedings. He recently served as a member of the trial teams in a highly-publicized OSHA enforcement action and a hostile-takeover-defense lawsuit.

From 2010–2011, Mr. Mogck served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edward R. Korman in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. From 2007-2009, Mr. Mogck served on the Firm’s Associates Committee.

Mr. Mogck graduated in 2006 from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He earned a Masters (2001) and Ph.D. (2003) in Philosophy from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, with honors in Philosophy, from Hamline University in 1997, where he was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Mr. Mogck is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
