Brian E. Kowalski

Brian Kowalski, partner in the Litigation Department of the Washington, D.C. office, focuses his practice on the defense of securities enforcement and white collar criminal investigations and proceedings, conducting internal corporate investigations, and related civil litigation. He has represented clients in investigations and litigation involving accounting and securities regulation, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and similar foreign laws, healthcare regulation, and other complex regulatory matters.

Mr. Kowalski has represented clients before a broad range of governmental and regulatory agencies, including the US Department of Justice, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, the New York Attorney General, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, NASDAQ and FINRA, among others. He also has substantial experience counseling clients on the development and maintenance of compliance programs, and advising public companies on disclosure and related issues.
