Bruce W. Slayden II

Bruce Slayden

is a partner in King & Spalding’s Intellectual Property Practice, and is resident in the firm’s Austin Office.

Mr. Slayden’s practice focuses on patent litigation (in the U.S., Europe and before the International Trade Commission), intellectual property acquisition due diligence, patent portfolio licensing negotiations, and domestic/international intellectual property asset management. His experience includes two first-chair appearances before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where he won both appeals.

Mr. Slayden has broad experience with such technologies as medical devices, microcontrollers, pharmaceuticals, semiconductor packaging and manufacturing, oil and gas production systems, laminates, explosives, catalysts, wireless data acquisition and transmission systems, and polyurethane foam production. Prior to joining King & Spalding L.L.P., Mr. Slayden was a partner with Baker Botts L.L.P.
