Bryna Dahlin is a litigation partner who concentrates her practice on complex commercial matters, including class action, products liability, and false advertising litigation. She is a member of the trial bar for the Northern District of Illinois and has successfully handled numerous cases in federal courts throughout the United States, in both bench and jury trials. She also represents clients before the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Products Safety Commission, and the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureaus.
Ms. Dahlin’s notable representations include winning dismissal of a putative 2.8-million person class action that sought nearly a billion dollars in damages over the privatization of the City of Chicago’s parking meters; securing denial of class certification in a high-profile consumer fraud class action and affirmance of that denial in the Seventh Circuit; obtaining dismissal of a lawsuit claiming that consumption of high fructose corn syrup caused plaintiff’s injuries; and securing a favorable settlement for her client in a series of shareholder class action lawsuits seeking more than $5 billion in damages. She currently represents the U.S. manufacturers of high fructose corn syrup in a high-profile false advertising matter brought by members of the sugar industry and also represents the makers of testosterone treatment therapy in mass tort litigation.
Representative clients include prominent consumer products companies, food and beverage manufacturers, banks and financial services companies, film and entertainment companies, advertising agencies, and electronics manufacturers.
Ms. Dahlin received a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997 and a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2000.

National Law Journal recognized Ms. Dahlin as one of 40 Chicago attorneys under 40 in 2013. Chicago Magazine recognized Ms. Dahlin as a “Rising Star” in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Activities
Ms. Dahlin serves on the board of directors of the CAWC (Connections for Abused Women and their Children) and the Lycée Francais de Chicago. She is a volunteer with Chances for Children, an organization providing support for orphanages and schools in Haiti. She has extensive pro bono experience in criminal and civil rights matters. Ms. Dahlin is chair of the Chicago office’s mentoring program, and also served as the co-chair of Winston’s Summer Associate Committee.
