Bringing years of international experience to his clients, Carlos Treistman’s practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), privatizations, joint ventures, infrastructure development projects, and private equity transactions. Carlos works with U.S. and foreign companies in such industries as oil and gas, power, mining, real estate, transportation, and telecommunications. Carlos serves as co-head of Orrick’s Latin America Practice and is the Office Leader for the firm’s Houston office.

For more than 20 years, Carlos has counseled clients in nearly every country in Latin America. Fluent in Spanish, he has a clear understanding of the nuances of handling business transactions throughout the region. Carlos acts as the lead relationship partner for several key multinational clients.

In step with the Orrick’s commitment to community service, he is a member of the advisory board of the board of directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. For nearly a decade, he served on the board of directors for the Holocaust Museum Houston.
