Casey Schulte is a special counsel in the Venture Capital group and a member of the Cooley Business department. He joined the Firm in 2001 and is resident in the Palo Alto office.
His practice focuses on the formation and representation of private equity and venture capital funds, including representation of issuers and venture capital funds in private financing transactions. Mr. Schulte also represents emerging growth companies in financing transactions and matters of general business and corporate law.
Mr. Schulte graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School in 2001. In addition, Mr. Schulte earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, graduating summa cum laude with University and Foundation Honors, and a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University. At Texas A&M, Mr. Schulte was named a Gathright Scholar, as the top senior engineer in the university's College of Engineering.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Schulte worked at the Exxon Chemical Company as a process engineer in aromatics manufacturing.
Mr. Schulte is a member of the California State Bar, Texas State Bar and the American Bar Association.
