Caz Hashemi is a litigation partner and focuses primarily on representing companies and individuals in private lawsuits, government investigations, and corporate internal investigations. Prior to joining the firm, Caz served as an enforcement attorney in the SEC's Division of Enforcement.

Caz takes a lead role in representing clients in government and internal corporate investigations. These matters involve, among other things, potential accounting and disclosure issues, insider trading violations, and FCPA issues. On many occasions, a government action ultimately has not been filed. Caz also has successfully represented clients through the SEC's Wells process.

With respect to private lawsuits, Caz represents companies and individuals in securities class action lawsuits, shareholder derivative actions, stockholder litigation demands, and other types of complex litigation.

Caz has served as co-chair of the firm's Nominating Committee and Career Development Committee. He frequently speaks about government and internal investigations, securities lawsuits, and corporate governance issues.
