Charles Strickland

is a member of the firm’s Discovery Center. He has extensive experience in pre-trial electronic discovery in complex litigation including the representation of manufacturers of tobacco, pharmaceutical, automotive, and other consumer products. Mr. Strickland has assisted in coordinating and supervising several document productions and reviews for the firm’s clients.

Mr. Strickland received his J.D. degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. Mr. Strickland graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Political Science.

Representative Experience

Coordinated the on-site collection of hard copy and electronic documents with client IT departments and outside vendors.

Trained and supervised document review teams (up to 60 attorneys) in both pharmaceutical and automotive products liability litigation as well as supervised review activities to assure compliance with concurrent production deadlines in multiple proceedings throughout the country.

Assisted in coordinating and managing all aspects of discovery in defense of several manufacturers in nationwide products liability litigation, including developing document collection scope statements, drafting document retention analyses, collecting hard copy and electronic documents, reviewing documents for responsiveness, privilege and confidentiality, producing responsive documents, and providing “defensive needs” support to merits counsel.

Assisted in coordinating electronic analysis of voluminous paper document collection to identify duplicate documents for consistent identification of privileged and significant documents.

Drafted multiple pre-trial motions for several proceedings for pharmaceutical litigation.

Litigation Technology Experience

As part of his experience managing and supervising document review projects, Mr. Strickland is familiar with several electronic discovery software systems including Ringtail, CaseCentral, iConect, Introspect, IPRO, Summation, and Concordance.
