Charles T. Haag

Charlie Haag has more than 15 years of experience advising companies and financial institutions in a wide variety of capital markets transactions, including venture capital, IPOs, high yield and investment-grade debt, convertible securities, tender offers, reorganizations, and M&A/takeovers. He also counsels clients with respect to corporate governance, fiduciary duties, reporting obligations with the SEC, and communications with the public markets.

Companies Charlie has represented in recent years include: Babcock & Wilcox, Chuy's Holdings, Howard Hughes, Kaiser Aluminum, Macy's, PepsiCo, Sprint Nextel, and USG. He also has represented investment firms and financial institutions such as Goode Partners, Gund Investment Corporation, Kirtland Capital Partners, and Maverick Capital.

Charlie is a frequent writer and speaker in the areas of capital markets and corporate governance. His recent presentations have focused on the IPO market and developments in securities regulation. He joined Jones Day's Cleveland Office in 1996 and worked in the Washington Office from 2001 until moving to the Dallas Office in 2006.
