Christian Plaza is a partner in the Life Sciences and Emerging Companies practice groups. He joined the Firm in 2000, and is resident in the Firm's Boston and Reston offices. He previously served as Partner-in-Charge of the Firm's Boston office, and head of that office's Business and Technology Group.

Mr. Plaza's practice focuses on the representation of clients in the life sciences and healthcare industries. He has over 18 years of experience in working with clients on a variety of corporate and securities activities, with an emphasis on public and private offerings, venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and collaborations, as well as corporate compliance matters. In addition, he routinely serves as outside general counsel to public and private biotechnology, medtech, medical device, diagnostics and health care services companies. Mr. Plaza also regularly represents a number of leading life sciences venture capital firms and investors.

Mr. Plaza received a JD, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. He earned his BA in Political Science, with honors, from Rutgers College, with a minor in Biology.

Mr. Plaza is a frequent lecturer on the corporate issues faced by life sciences companies and investors. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the bar associations of Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and Massachusetts.
