Christina M. Jones

Chris Jones represents clients confronted with complex litigation in adverse jurisdictions throughout the country. She has represented automobile manufacturers, product manufacturers, utility companies and insurers in various stages of litigation -- from discovery to defense verdict at trial. She is experienced in advising clients on a variety of risk management practices, including regulatory compliance, responses to government investigations, product literature reviews and litigation management. As national counsel for various product manufacturers, she advises clients who need national case coordination in developing a cohesive litigation defense strategy.

A significant portion of her practice is devoted to consumer product safety issues, and she represents clients in responding to consumer complaints or governmental reports and investigations. She advises clients in both avoiding and implementing product recalls and in managing a variety of consumer product safety issues, including those arising under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. She has defended clients in litigation arising from nationwide recalls of foods and consumer products, as well as in complex commercial disputes. Chris has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including furniture, bicycles, appliances, food and mechanical component parts.

Experienced in handling investigation and defense of personal injury and property damage claims arising from large-scale explosions and fires, Chris has successfully represented a variety of clients in such matters throughout the country.

Chris serves as an adjunct professor of appellate advocacy at the University of Richmond's T.C. Williams School of Law. She is frequently called upon to present to groups on a range of issues, including consumer product safety and risk management.

Chris is active in pro bono matters and community activities, serving on several boards of directors, including that of Fetch a Cure, an organization dedicated to improving quality of life by connecting people and pets through accessible, compassionate treatment and education. She also served on the board of directors of the Greater Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross, chairing its Leadership Development Council from 2008-2011.

While earning her law degree at the University of Virginia, Chris was a Dillard Teaching Fellow and a member of the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society.
