Christopher Carlisle is a Senior Counsel in the Corporate Finance Practice Group and focuses his practice on counseling clients in business transactions and controversies. Mr. Carlisle’s practice is primarily focused on business transactions. Mr. Carlisle has extensive experience in the creation and reorganization of business entities and equity investment structures, including partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies. Mr. Carlisle has also counseled clients in planning, negotiating and documenting different types of investment transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and asset purchases, as well as commercial lending. Mr. Carlisle also has experience in matters related to federal and state securities laws, and federal business income tax.

Mr. Carlisle began his legal career with a one-year appointment as a briefing attorney at the Supreme Court of Texas, and spent several years as an associate in the Dallas office of a large national law firm, where he served clients ranging in size from multinational publicly traded corporation to local real estate investors. Prior to joining Dykema, Mr. Carlisle spent five years working as an in-house transactional counsel to a NYSE-listed manufacturer of food and beverage products.

Mr. Carlisle has a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an Articles Editor on the Michigan Journal of International Law.
