Christopher A. Crosman

Mr. Crosman is a senior associate in the Labor & Employment Department of the Los Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He represents employers in all facts of litigation, from inception through trial or arbitration, as well as on appeal.

Mr. Crosman’s experience includes representing companies and their management on a wide range of state and federal employment law disputes involving issues of wrongful discharge, discrimination based on race, age, disability, gender and national origin, workplace harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, privacy rights, trade secrets, employee raiding and unfair competition, independent contractor agreements, employee benefits and wage & hour claims.

Mr. Crosman has successfully arbitrated numerous employment law cases before JAMS and the American Arbitration Association. He also routinely represents employers before administrative agencies, such as the Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mr. Crosman also frequently counsels clients on compliance with employment laws and how to avoid employment disputes; and drafts employment agreements, severance agreements and employment policies and procedures.

Mr. Crosman has substantial expertise in defending employers in state and federal class action lawsuits, including matters involving allegations of misclassification of employees, failure to pay overtime, meal and rest break violations, unfair competition and other violations of the Labor Code, including Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) claims. He has defended numerous large, complex class actions for alleged wage and hour violations under both state and federal laws, for clients in a variety of industries, including the pharmaceutical, banking, transportation, medical, retail, travel & leisure, hospitality and food service industries. Mr. Crosman is also the editor-in-chief of Seyfarth Shaw’s “white paper” on California class action litigation.
