CHRIS MASTERSON is an associate in the Palo Alto office where he engages in Sidley’s Emerging Companies and Venture Capital, Global Finance and Securities practices. Chris represents clients in a range of mergers and acquisitions, financings, debt and equity offerings, as well as lending transactions. To better serve and understand his clients, Chris draws on several years of prior experience in management consulting, commercial and investment banking.
Chris received his J.D. cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law where he served as Executive Managing Editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and as a research assistant to Professor Frederick Lambert. Chris received CALI and Witkin Awards for academic excellence in both Securities Regulation and Constitutional Law. In addition, he was a member of the Hastings Technology Startup Clinic. Chris attended New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business for his undergraduate studies, graduating magna cum laude with a B.Sc. in Economics and a B.Sc. in Finance.
