Christopher R. Noyes

Christopher Noyes focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and other complex disputes, including trademark, trade dress and patent claims. He has litigated cases involving a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, nucleic acid hybridization, immunohistochemistry, smartphones, semiconductors, lithium ion batteries, medical devices, gasoline engines, personal care products, and computer hardware and software.

Mr. Noyes has been a member of several WilmerHale trial teams and has litigated in federal and state courts across the country. He has served as co-lead trial counsel for companies in Hatch-Waxman litigation involving drug products for the treatment of androgen responsive diseases, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, and in preparation for colonoscopy. In 2013, he tried two cases, both resulting in favorable decisions at the district court. He also has experience representing clients in appeals to the Federal Circuit.

In addition to intellectual property, Mr. Noyes has experience in securities litigation, employment litigation and criminal defense. Mr. Noyes also served as lead trial counsel on a variety of criminal cases tried to juries and to judges while acting as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Massachusetts. He has also worked on several pro bono matters in conjunction with the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights, including on cases relating to the hiring and promotion of minority police officers.
