Christy Crockett White

Christy Crockett White has more than twenty years of experience as a trial lawyer in cases ranging from complex product liability actions to multi-million dollar business disputes. Christy practices primarily in the areas of product liability, toxic torts, and labor and employment law, handling matters from inception through appeal.

For more than a decade, Christy’s focus has been defending clients in silica litigation. She has defended thousands of cases across the Southeast for sand companies, respiratory protection manufacturers and suppliers, and sandblasting equipment manufacturers and distributors. Christy was a trial attorney in the first silica trial in Mississippi history, James Westrope v. Pangborn, et al. Christy argued and won a motion for mistrial in that case which lead to a favorable result for her clients without the need for another trial.

In her labor and employment practice, Christy has more than two decades of experience in both state and federal court, as well as before the EEOC, the DOL, and state departments of employment security. She has served as employment law counsel for a variety of entities, including manufacturing facilities, school systems, insurance companies, retail businesses, and charitable organizations. Christy advises clients on hiring, employment contracts, accommodations for disabilities, requests for leave, workers’ compensation, discipline, terminations, wrongful termination, severance packages, discrimination, harassment, covenants not to compete, and claims for unemployment benefits. She litigates employment matters involving claims made under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, the FMLA, §1983 and the LMRA. From consultation to complex litigation, Christy is experienced in litigating and providing advice on a broad range of employment issues.

Christy delivers client-focused representation and is thoughtful and deliberate in the development of legal strategies – strategies individually tailored to each individual client. Christy is committed to developing a collaborative relationship with each client, resulting in effective and efficient representation through all stages of litigation and other matters.
