Claudia Hrvatin

is an associate in King & Spalding’s Government Advocacy and Public Policy Practice Group in Washington, D.C. With 15 years of experience in Washington, Ms. Hrvatin has worked both on Capitol Hill and in the private sector.

Currently, she counsels firm clients on federal and state campaign finance, ethics and lobbying law matters, including the ethics rules that regulate the marketing of products to state medical purchasers. Amongst these clients are several pharmaceutical and other health care companies and entities, including 21st Century Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology, AstraZeneca, Astellas, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, DaVita, Hospira and US Oncology. She also represents public and private entities on a variety of legislative and regulatory issues before the federal government, ranging from aviation and health care to intellectual property and tax.

Before joining King & Spalding, Ms. Hrvatin spent more than five years as part of Shaw Pittman’s Government Relations group. Prior to entering private practice, she served for five years on Capitol Hill, most recently as Legislative Director to Representative Chris Cannon of Utah. As chief policy advisor to Representative Cannon, she handled both his Judiciary Committee and Science Committee posts, advising specifically on the areas of aeronautics, immigration, intellectual property and technology, as well as on an array of other issues, including appropriations, health care, parliamentary procedure and tax.

A native of San Francisco, California, Ms. Hrvatin is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and earned her law degree from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.

Ms. Hrvatin is a member of the bar of the District of Columbia.
