Craig I. Chosiad

Craig Chosiad focuses his practice on appellate advocacy and complex civil litigation. He has briefed cases before the First, Fourth, and Sixth Circuits, as well as multiple state appellate courts; written petitions for certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court and sought discretionary review in state appellate courts; written dispositive motions in federal and state cases; and worked with experts in federal and international litigation.

His practice includes administrative law, antitrust, constitutional law, environmental law, international law, products liability, and toxic torts. He has written briefs and motions covering procedural and constitutional issues in a series of products liability cases in federal and state trial courts, appellate courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court; brought First Amendment and federal preemption challenges to municipal anti-advertising ordinances; and helped formulate a strategy to avoid the enforcement of foreign judgments in international tort litigation.

Craig also maintains an active pro bono practice. He recently briefed and argued Edwards v. Dewalt in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, disputing the validity of a federal parole regulation on the basis that it was contrary to the underlying statute.
