Cristian L. Vallejo

Mr. Vallejo's practice focuses on corporate, energy, mergers and acquisitions, finance and government procurement transactions, with an emphasis on cross-border related projects, particularly in Latin America. His experience includes: representation of lenders and investors in corporate finance transactions of all types; representation of clients in connection with the start-up and acquisition of companies throughout the U.S. and Latin America; representation of clients in connection with the procurement, acquisition, sale, development and financing of large energy and other infrastructure projects throughout Latin America; and representation of bondholders, lenders, servicers and other creditors in connection with financial restructuring and workouts, involving multiple jurisdictions, of U.S. -and Latin American-based companies.

Mr. Vallejo served for several years as in-house legal counsel for a major Chilean energy company active throughout Latin America, with particular experience in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Peru. In addition to providing advice in connection with general corporate, energy, environmental, regulatory, labor, project development, acquisition of companies and assets, procurement and litigation matters, Mr. Vallejo led such company's participation in several privatizations throughout Latin America as well as in negotiating and preparing project and credit documentation for various large non- and limited-recourse project financings.
