Cristina Maria Perez Soto

Cristina Pérez Soto practices in all areas of complex commercial litigation, including securities litigation, contract disputes and media-related disputes. Cristina focuses a significant part of her practice in the area of international arbitration, representing clients in the United States and abroad. Additionally, Cristina has experience in securities, accounting and other white-collar investigations.

A native Spanish speaker, Cristina has represented clients from various countries in Latin America, including El Salvador, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Cristina has experience handling international arbitration matters before the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

Between 2007 and 2011, Cristina was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida’s Miami office. For the majority of her time in the Southern District of Florida, she focused on major fraud cases, including securities, investment, mortgage, tax and other large-scale fraud matters. During that time, she tried over 15 jury cases to verdict. Prior to becoming an Assistant United States Attorney, Cristina was an associate with Hogan Lovells’ New York office.

Cristina clerked for the Honorable Juan R. Torruella in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston, Massachusetts. She also clerked for the Honorable Juan M. Pérez-Giménez in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
