Da'Morus A. Cohen is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office, focusing his practice on the areas of general corporate, business and real estate litigation. His representative matters include corporate and partnership disputes, shareholder/member disputes, banking and finance litigation, prejudgment and post judgment remedies, commercial mortgage foreclosures and commercial landlord/tenant disputes. In addition, Mr. Cohen has experience in the area of general corporate, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and securities regulation. Mr. Cohen routinely uses his corporate and business knowledge in his daily litigation practice. Mr. Cohen advises individuals and companies, both public and private, on matters involving general and complex commercial and corporate litigation, contract negotiation, corporate law, and corporate governance. He also advises start-up and expanding companies on general corporate matters involving capital raising, incorporation and formation issues and day-to-day business matters.

Mr. Cohen actively participates in the pro bono representation of nonprofit companies and low-income individuals involving general corporate and litigation matters. He also represents individuals with family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, child support enforcement, and child custody and sharing issues.

While at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Mr. Cohen was a member of the Entertainment Law Review. He was also an active member of the Black Law Students Association, W. George Allen Chapter, serving as a contracts and constitutional law tutor and a first year law student mentor.
