Dahlia S. Fetouh

Dahlia Fetouh joined MIT as Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel in April 2016. Her practice includes managing the Institute’s involvement in litigation and other legal proceedings and providing advice on a wide variety of matters concerning student life, intellectual property, employment, compliance, risk and other Institute affairs.

Before coming to MIT, Ms. Fetouh was a partner at Goodwin Procter, where she practiced for over 13 years. Ms. Fetouh was a member of Goodwin Procter’s Business Litigation Group and its Appellate Litigation Practice. Her practice focused on complex business and commercial litigation, including representing companies in connection with contract disputes, internal investigations and appeals. Ms. Fetouh also advised clients on managing and avoiding litigation risk. She was a member of the firm’s hiring committee and maintained an active pro bono practice, with a focus on housing and poverty issues. Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Ms. Fetouh clerked for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Ms. Fetouh graduated from Princeton University and received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the New York University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and an editor for the New York University Law Review.

She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, the American Bar Association, and the Boston Bar Association.
