Dan Ferhat focuses his practice on medical malpractice litigation and general liability matters. As a trial lawyer, he defends hospitals, physicians, nurses and other healthcare practitioners against professional liability claims at the trial court and appellate court levels. He also defends corporations and other commercial enterprises against premises liability lawsuits.

Dan is called upon to defend a wide array of medical malpractice matters, including cases involving death, brain-damage, obstetrical complications, medication errors, orthopedic injuries, decubitus ulcers and surgical complications.

Mindful of his clients’ litigation goals, Dan uses an aggressive and proactive approach to advocate for his clients. Whether it is conducting an out-of-state meeting via video conference or digitizing records so they can be electronically transmitted to experts and clients instantly, Dan always strives to achieve maximum results in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Dan has substantial courtroom experience. In addition to his jury trial experience, he has independently taken cases to verdict before arbitration panels and judges. Dan often acts as Second Chair in medical malpractice lawsuits. He has also been retained to assist physicians in administrative proceedings before peer review credentialing committees.

While in law school, Dan served as the Editor-in-Chief for the school's Law Review, The Widener Journal of Public Law. He was also the recipient of the school's Legal Research and Writing Award.
