Darcy C. Harris

Darcy C. Harris is a litigation associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of Gibson Dunn’s Securities Litigation, Securities Enforcement, and White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice Groups. Ms. Harris’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, internal and regulatory investigations, securities litigation, and white collar defense. She has represented clients across a variety of industries, including financial services, accounting and auditing, healthcare, real estate, consumer goods, and non-profits.

Ms. Harris has extensive experience preparing complex financial cases for trial. Recently, she was a member of the Gibson Dunn team that secured a jury trial victory on behalf of Wynnefield Capital and its portfolio manager, Nelson Obus, in SEC v. Obus, one of the longest running insider trading cases in history.

Ms. Harris has also represented pro bono clients in trademark, immigration, family law, reproductive rights, and federal and state criminal matters.

Ms. Harris graduated, cum laude, from New York University School of Law in 2009, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. Ms. Harris served as Associate Marden Competition Editor for the Moot Court Board and was awarded the Order of the Barristers Moot Court Award. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology from Vassar College, where she graduated with general and departmental honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Ms. Harris is admitted to practice in the State of New York, as well as in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
