is a founding partner of the corporate group for Kirkland & Ellis' San Francisco office. Previously, David was a partner in the Firm's Chicago office. David is a merger and acquisition partner whose practice is focused on the representation of private equity funds in all aspects of their businesses, including formation, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as strategic acquisitions. David serves as lead counsel in structuring and negotiating various strategic and leveraged acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, senior bank financings, subordinated debt financings, equity financings, executive compensation matters, growth equity investments and restructurings and workouts. David has negotiated and completed transactions in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, consumer products, software, post-secondary education, food service, retail, staffing, magazine publishing, financial services, technology outsourcing, oil and gas services, and logistics.
David is ranked by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business as a "Tier One" Private Equity attorney, commenting he is "an outstanding professional and an expert in investments, divestments and M&A. David is a member of the Firm's 15-person global management committee. He also serves on various firmwide committees including the Recruiting Committee, New Business Executive Committee and Corporate Business Development Committee, as well as the San Francisco Operations Committee.
