David A. Copland is a special counsel and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He counsels clients on trademark enforcement, protection and availability, as well as other non-patent intellectual property issues such as unfair competition, advertising, and copyright laws throughout the United States and abroad. Mr. Copland has extensive experience resolving trademark infringement and opposition matters, both foreign and domestic. He represents clients in matters before federal courts throughout the United States, as well as in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Mr. Copland is experienced with dispute proceedings before the National Advertising Division of Better Business Bureaus, Inc., as well as domain name dispute arbitration panels. He is a member of the firm's IP Litigation and Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Practices. He is also a member of the Food & Beverage Industry Team.
